Biography

“I feel my role is to help guide and educate our patients to make well-informed decisions in both preventing and treating cardiovascular disease. I believe in a patient-centered approach, where together we discuss medical conditions, treatment options, risk and benefits and collectively decide the best course of action.”

Jennnifer Carraux is a board-certified physician assistant. Her clinical interest is in cardiovascular disease. By providing both inpatient and outpatient care, Carraux can follow patients through their health care journeys.

Her passion for cardiology began while providing prehospital care as a paramedic in North Carolina. She later practiced at a well-established cardiology office in Portland, Maine, before returning to her local North Carolina community.

Carraux received her bachelor’s degree in emergency medical care at Western Carolina University and her master’s degree in physician assistant studies at the University of New England.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and son, paddle-boarding, fishing and creating their homestead.
