Dr. Hong is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN). She specializes in routine and high-risk pregnancy, women’s preventive care and minimally-invasive surgery such as laparoscopic hysterectomy.
She was inspired to study women’s health as a student who became fascinated with every aspect of human development.
Dr. Hong has received numerous awards, including the Esprit de Corps and the Robert C. Cefalo House Officer awards from the University of North Carolina. She received the Dean’s Award, Glidden L. Brooks and Gold Humanism awards from the University of Toledo.
Dr. Hong received her medical degree at the University of Toledo. She completed residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
In her free time, she enjoys hiking, tennis, boating, playing basketball, cooking, beach trips and any opportunity to spend time with her husband, their 3 children and their border collie.
