Jessica Lynn Atkinson, FNP

Sleep medicine is very interesting to me because it affects all aspects of a person's life. Even though working in health care can be challenging at times, it’s truly rewarding to touch the lives of people in the community and help them achieve a better quality of life.

I’m a board-certified family nurse practitioner who focuses on general neurology and sleep medicine. I treat people with general neurology diagnoses and sleep disorders.

Since childhood, I’ve always wanted to be a helper, whether that meant nursing a sick animal back to health or assisting a person in need. I became motivated to start working in general neurology after my uncle developed early onset dementia. I especially enjoy the diversity within the specialty, and I love the ongoing opportunities to expand my knowledge in neurology and sleep medicine.

I received my master’s degree in nursing at South University.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and significant other. I like working out, playing tennis and pickleball and traveling to the beach.
