Jessica Bridgman is a board-certified acute care adult-gerontology nurse practitioner (ACNPC-AG). Her clinical interest is in geriatric acute care. Her background in intensive care bedside medicine drew her to acute care, and her clinical experiences forged an interest in hospital medicine.
Bridgman’s passion for nursing stems from this quote from Great Expectations by Charles Dickens: “Have a heart that never hardens, a temper that never tires, and touch that never hurts.” To her, this is a profound call to kindness and resilience in a profession that has constant challenges.
Bridgman received her master’s degree in nursing at the University of South Alabama.
She has a wonderful husband and 2 daughters. As a family, they enjoy being outside hiking, kayaking, fishing, bike riding and camping in their camper trailer, particularly to the beach. They also enjoy trying new foods and discovering new coffee shops while traveling.
