Jessica McHugh Daniels, MD

I have always loved working with children. I’m continually inspired by their strength and resilience. Helping families navigate the often-winding road of congenital heart disease is a privilege, and I hope to be a source of support for patients and their families. I feel fortunate to devote my life to helping others and strive to have a meaningful impact on people’s lives through my work.

I’m board certified in general pediatrics and pediatric critical care medicine. I specialize in congenital heart disease in children.

I received my medical degree at the Medical College of Virginia (now part of Virginia Commonwealth University). I completed residency in pediatrics at Atrium Health Levine Children’s Hospital. I completed a pediatric intensive care fellowship at Vanderbilt University and an ECMO fellowship in cardiac intensive care at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children.

Away from work, I love spending time with my dog, Potter, who is named after the Harry Potter character from my favorite books. I also enjoy paddleboarding, sailing, relaxing on a beach or any activities near the water.
