Jessica Shahnizadeh is a board-certified acute care pediatric nurse practitioner. She has specialized in pediatric surgery since 2018.
Her father was diagnosed with cancer when she was young. Observing his illness and visiting him in the hospital throughout her childhood and adulthood led her to health care and ultimately, nursing.
Shahnizadeh received her master’s degree in nursing at the University of South Alabama.
She and her husband have a sweet goldendoodle, Emma, who is a certified therapy dog. Emma tags along to the hospital and the office with Shahnizadeh for visits with pediatric patients. Shahnizadeh enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends and trying out new restaurants.
