“I am fascinated by the brain and enjoy working with children, being a kid at heart myself. The field of pediatric neuropsychology, which is the study of brain-behavior relationships across development, is the perfect combination of these interests.”

Dr. Peters is a licensed psychologist and is board certified in clinical neuropsychology.

She specializes in the neuropsychological assessment and intervention of pediatric brain tumors, pediatric hematology and oncology (cancer and blood disorders), traumatic brain injury, neurocutaneous conditions and autism spectrum disorder.

Dr. Peters is passionate about treating individuals between the ages of 0 and 21, but she has training in the neuropsychological assessment of individuals across the lifespan with a range of medical, developmental and psychological conditions.

She received her doctorate in clinical psychology at Yeshiva University with a minor in neuropsychology and completed a fellowship at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Although primarily performing clinical work and minimally involved in research at this time, Dr. Peter’s research interests and experience include pediatric neuro-oncology, neurophysiology, cognitive effects of sedation in neuro-oncology and autism spectrum disorder.

Outside of work, Dr. Peters loves spending time with her husband, son and their pets. She enjoys cooking and sharing meals with friends and family. She and her husband love to travel internationally and visit the beaches of their childhoods in the Hamptons and at the New Jersey shore.
