Dr. John Alexander Carter is trained in pediatric medicine. He has clinical interests in vaccines, pediatric obesity, development and internet safety. Additionally, he holds pediatric advanced life support (PALS) and neonatal resuscitation program (NRP) certifications.
He feels privileged to care for children as they grow, and he values the distinctive bonds that develop.
Dr. Carter received a General and Community Pediatric Primary Care Award at Cincinnati Children's Hospital and an Outstanding Pediatric Student Award at Mercer University School of Medicine.
He received his undergraduate degree at the University of Georgia and his medical degree at Mercer University. He completed residency at Cincinnati Children's Hospital.
Outside of work, Dr. Carter enjoys golf, basketball, tennis, water skiing, reading and listening to podcasts. He’s a University of Georgia football fan.
