John Paul Velasco, MD

I am interested in preventive health care, particularly in the outpatient setting. My goal is to start a new chapter in the expanding field of telemedicine to provide care to those in need, whether for acute or chronic conditions.

I am board certified in family medicine.

I focus on providing virtual care for:

• Hypertension
• Diabetes
• Obesity
• Preventive medicine

I received my master’s degree in biology at Queens College and my medical degree at American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine. I completed residency in family medicine at Central Michigan University.

My wife, children and I love the outdoors, especially visiting lakes, going to state parks, walking our dogs and hiking. We especially enjoy traveling, both within the U.S. and abroad.
