Dr. Patterson is board certified in family medicine. He specializes in treating obesity, musculoskeletal pain and injuries, diabetes, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), heart disease, hypertension, high cholesterol, anxiety and depression.
He is skilled in multiple types of injections for knees, shoulders, bursitis, trigger points, trigger fingers and tendonitis.
He chose family medicine because of the diverse types of care that may be needed on any given day. Family medicine allows him to follow a patient from birth through adulthood and get to know their families as well.
He received his medical degree at East Carolina University.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and 4 children. He likes playing golf and basketball and enjoys watching sports, particularly Georgia Tech athletics.
