Jose Luis Mendoza, MD

It's very satisfying when I help a patient through a prolonged disease process. I believe in taking time to listen to patients' symptoms and letting patients be part of the decision making when it comes to their health. I try to treat patients the same way I would like my family to be treated by their doctors.

As a board-certified family medicine doctor, I specialize in internal medicine and treating adults who have a wide variety of medical conditions. I received a United Hero Award from UnitedHealthcare.

I received my bachelor’s degree in biology at Emory University and my medical degree at the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara Medical School in Mexico. I completed residency in family medicine at Saints Mary and Elizabeth Hospital.

My favorite sport is soccer. My wife and I like to do activities at the lake, including kayaking and paddle boarding. We also play tennis together and enjoy traveling. In quieter moments, I like reading fiction, especially the original Sherlock Holmes stories.
