Dr. Jose Mendoza is board certified in internal medicine. He treats adults who have a wide variety of medical conditions.
The complexity and depth of adult medicine drew him to his specialty. He appreciates the challenge of diagnosing and managing a wide range of cases, especially when they involve multiple systems and require careful clinical reasoning.
He has received a United Hero Award from UnitedHealthcare.
Dr. Mendoza received his bachelor’s degree in biology at Emory University and his medical degree at the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara Medical School in Mexico. He completed residency in family medicine at Saints Mary and Elizabeth Hospital.
In his leisure time, he enjoys tennis and hiking with his wife. An avid soccer player and fan, he supports FC Barcelona. Dr. Mendoza’s favorite books are Sherlock Holmes stories. He looks forward to enjoying life on the water as a Lake Norman resident.
