Dr. Joshua Kain is board certified in otolaryngology - head and neck surgery. He specializes in head and neck surgical oncology (cancer) and plastic reconstruction.
His interest in art and design initially drew his interest to complex reconstruction. He values the opportunities to participate in the oncology and plastic reconstructive aspects of surgical care.
Dr. Kain’s research focuses on head and neck microvascular reconstruction.
He received his bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences at Texas A&M University and his medical degree at The University of Texas at Houston. Dr. Kain completed residency in otolaryngology - head and neck surgery at The University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he served as chief resident. He completed a fellowship in head and neck surgical oncology and skull base, robotic and microvascular reconstructive plastic surgery at the University of California, Davis.
Outside of work, Dr. Kain enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 children. He relaxes by fly fishing for freshwater trout and painting with oils.
