Julia McDowell is a board-certified physician assistant who focuses on family medicine. She treats multiple conditions, including hypertension, diabetes and depression. She also provides weight management and overall health management.
She chose to work in family medicine to develop relationships with patients, understand each individual and manage their specific and overall goals for their health.
McDowell completed her physician assistant training with distinction at Wake Forest University.
She is married with 2 children and 2 dogs. Away from work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, working in the yard and visiting the beach and the mountains. McDowell is also active in her church, where she has the pleasure of serving on various ministry teams.
