Freeland is a board-certified nurse practitioner who specializes in internal medicine for patients of all ages.
She started her career in nursing and felt it was a calling. She completed a doctoral study on high-risk medications that should be avoided in the 65 and older age group.
Freeland received her master’s degree in nursing at Duke University.
She is married and has 2 daughters. She spends as much of her free time as possible running, biking and swimming. Her family enjoys being outside at the lake or at the beach.
