Kallie Metz, MD

“Women undergo many changes throughout their lifetimes. From menstrual and reproductive years to menopause, it is my goal to help patients understand those changes and empower them to be involved in their care. Building relationships with patients is the most rewarding part of my job.”

Dr. Kallie Metz is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN). She focuses on reproductive health and contraception, well-woman care, routine and high-risk prenatal care, perimenopause and menopause.

Additionally, she is skilled in treating abnormal uterine bleeding, fibroids, endometriosis, sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and cervical and vulvar dysplasias. She performs gynecologic surgeries, including robot-assisted surgeries.

She enjoys providing long-term care, building relationships and treating patients in every stage of life while having the ability to offer surgical care.

Dr. Metz received her bachelor’s degree at Emory & Henry College and her medical degree at the Medical College of Virginia. She completed residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Virginia Tech.

She has been involved in research investigating vulvar dysplasia and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).

Outside of work, Dr. Metz loves all things outdoors, including running, biking, chasing her kids around the playground and exploring local farmer's markets. She also enjoys traveling, gardening and reading.
