Dr. Kanisha Sierra-Rios is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN). She focuses on treating patients who are hospitalized and also provides emergency gynecologic surgeries.
She chose her practice specialty for the opportunities it provides to serve as both a primary care physician and a surgeon. She believes it is a privilege to care for women throughout all the stages of life.
Dr. Sierra-Rios received her medical degree at Ponce Health Sciences University, formerly Ponce School of Medicine, in Ponce, Puerto Rico. She completed residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Puerto Rico.
Away from work, Dr. Sierra-Rios enjoys traveling with her husband to explore new destinations. As a native of Puerto Rico, she especially likes visiting beaches. She also enjoys golf and horror films.
