Biography

“In medical school, I found digestive medicine to be an important and dynamic field where I could improve the health of my patients. I practice medicine one patient at a time, striving to make a difference.”

Dr. Rybnicek is board certified in internal medicine with a specialty in gastroenterology (GI).

He has clinical interests in inflammatory bowel disease, ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, biliary tract disease, colonoscopies, endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (a procedure that combines GI endoscopy and X-rays to treat problems of the bile and pancreatic ducts), colonic polyps, screening and diagnosis of colon cancer, and liver disorders.

Additionally, Dr. Rybnicek treats esophageal disease, Barrett's esophagus (abnormal changes in the cells lining the esophagus), gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), esophageal disorders and peptic ulcer disease.

He was named a Regional Top Doctor by Castle Connolly, and he is a fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology and the American College of Physicians.

Dr. Rybnicek received his medical degree at Masaryk University and completed a residency at Advocate Christ Medical Center. He completed a fellowship at the University of Arkansas.
