Biography
“I love medicine and consider myself lucky to have a career that I feel called to and that brings me so much joy. I genuinely care about my patients, and it’s important to me that patients feel heard, valued and respected.”
Schultz is a board-certified physician assistant. She specializes in treatments for headaches and injections for migraines, including trigger point and botulinum toxin injections as well as peri-cranial nerve blocks. She has a passion for her specialty because she loves seeing a patient's quality of life improve when their migraines are well controlled.
She is the chief advanced practice provider (APP) for Atrium Health Neurosciences Institute General Neurology Outpatient. She won the Atrium Health Highest Patient Satisfaction Score for APP in Neurology.
Her grandmother was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS or Lou Gehrig’s disease) when Schultz was in high school. Watching her grandmother’s journey was the guiding force that led her to medicine and specifically her interest in neurology.
Schultz received her master’s degree at Barry University and a certificate in physician leadership at Queens University.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 children. She loves to travel, especially to the Outer Banks and Hilton Head, and spent 2 months backpacking in Europe. She also loves tennis and played on her college team.
