Biography
“As a high-risk labor and delivery nurse, I have worked with patients during some of their most vulnerable times. My goal is to provide the highest degree of compassionate, quality care. I’m excited to now follow and advocate for patients through all stages of their lives as I continue those relationships outside of the hospital.”
Marcinizyn is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with a certification in electronic fetal monitoring.
She specializes in all aspects of women's health, including administering and managing birth control, obstetric and gynecologic (OB/GYN) care, pregnancy and nutrition counseling, first-trimester screenings for fetal abnormalities, and adolescent gynecology and counseling.
Marcinizyn always knew she wanted to specialize in women's health. Her first delivery as a labor and delivery nursing student had a profound effect on her, and she knew at the moment that women’s health was where she was meant to be.
Marcinizyn is the recipient of an Atrium Health Key Engagement (KEAP) Award. She received her master’s degree in nursing at Frontier Nursing University.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, 2 children and their goldendoodle, Bella. They love the beach and the North Carolina mountains, especially in the fall. They are ardent sports fans and enjoy attending football and hockey games.
