Biography
“My primary goal is to provide practical and scientific information to help prevent diseases and their complications, especially for patients living with diabetes. I learn a lot from my patients' personal stories and experiences, and oftentimes I believe when we listen to our patients, they provide us with diagnostic clues that help us solve their problems.”
Dr. LynShue is board certified in general pediatrics and pediatric endocrinology. She specializes in treating Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, adrenal insufficiency, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, hypopituitarism, GH deficiency, delayed puberty, precocious puberty, short stature, MODY (maturity onset diabetes of the young), MEN (multiple endocrine neoplasia), APS (autoimmune polyglandular syndrome), calcium and phosphorus disorders and menstrual disorders.
She’s been recognized by Atrium Health as a Patient Experience Top Provider.
Dr. LynShue received her medical degree at the University of North Carolina, completed a residency at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center and a fellowship at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.
A self-described “#boymom,” she loves spending time with her husband and children, traveling and exploring new cultures. She enjoys walking and hiking, listening to inspirational podcasts and playing volleyball.
