I’m driven by a commitment to promoting comfort and dignity for individuals in vulnerable circumstances. I consider it an honor to assist patients and their families with compassion, presence and empathy during critical times. I aim to alleviate suffering, bring knowledge and promote autonomy. My practice is grounded in respect for the unique humanity of every patient, ensuring that care remains sensitive and responsive throughout their journey.

I’m a board-certified adult-gerontology primary care nurse practitioner (AGPCNP). I specialize in hospice and palliative care (symptom relief and end-of-life care).

My decision to pursue palliative care arose from my conviction that education is integral to health care. Palliative care enables me to deliver not only comfort, but also to equip patients and their families with essential information to help with decision-making during challenging circumstances. Upholding compassion and transparent communication are also central to my approach in providing comprehensive care.

I have completed doctoral work on the utilization of a palliative educational guide to foster timely referrals to palliative care in long-term care facilities among adults age 65 and older. This work reflects the importance of integrating education into health care and improving access to compassionate, appropriate care for vulnerable older adults.

I received my master’s degree in nursing at the University of Cincinnati and my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at Winston-Salem State University.

I’m an avid regional and international hiker, and nature is where I recharge. My husband and I love adventuring and seeking out new experiences to inspire growth, connection and balance. I stay grounded and find fresh perspective, both personally and professionally, by exploring different landscapes and cultures.
