Ledford is a board-certified nurse practitioner. She specializes in obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN) and high-risk obstetrics. She is certified in forensic nursing and is a member of the Atrium Health SANE team (sexual assault nurse examiner).
She has received several awards, including a Daisy Foundation Team Award for SANE and a Daisy Individual Award. She has also been recognized with an Atrium Health Spirit of Nursing Award and an Atrium Health Notable Nurse Award. Additionally, she was named a North Carolina Great 100 Nurse.
Ledford has always felt a calling to women's health, and once she started in high-risk obstetrics, she knew she had found the right path.
She received her master’s degree in nursing at Queens University and a post-master’s certificate at the University of South Alabama.
Ledford is married to an oncology nurse, and they love spending time with their 2 children. They enjoy activities on the lake, bike rides, campfires and time with friends. She has 5 siblings who live all over the world, so she cherishes the time when they can get together.
