Biography

“In OB/GYN, caring for patients is so much more than medication or surgery. I find tremendous joy in developing bonds with my patients over the course of their lives and enjoy partnering with them to be healthy and well. I’m grateful to be entrusted with celebrations, secrets and fears. There is no greater miracle than bringing life into this world, and it never gets old!”

Dr. Hansen-Lindner is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN). She has an interest in polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), infertility, dysmenorrhea, menopause and natural childbirth.

She is the current chair of the Quality Assurance Committee and the vice chief of the Metro Division in the Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

She received a Best Doctor award from the North Carolina Business Journal, a Top Doctor award from Charlotte magazine and the Charlotte Business Journal for multiple consecutive years. Additionally, she received the Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Resident Teaching Award and the UNC School of Medicine Outstanding Medical Student/Clerkship Education Award. She is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.

Dr. Hansen-Lindner is committed to quality and compassionate evidence-based care for women throughout their lives. It’s her hope to make a lasting difference with her patients and colleagues. She has a strong interest in quality, safety and reducing disparities in women's healthcare. She has previously worked both in Pakistan and Ethiopia.

She has co-conducted research on fluid management during hysteroscopies and has begun a new project assessing fibroid ablation's impact on quality of life indicators.

She received her medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania and completed a residency at Pennsylvania Hospital, the nation’s first hospital. She is a fellow of The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

She and her husband, Matt, have 4 children, Sophie, Eva and twins, Ian and Phoebe. They love to spend time together at sporting events, traveling and hiking. They also enjoy cooking and baking.
