Biography

Our patients have long hospital stays. Afterwards, I love seeing them in our clinic and long-term follow-up programs where it’s evident how far they’ve come!

I am a board-certified physician assistant who specializes in pediatric hematology-oncology (blood disorders and cancer). I focus on stem cell transplants at Levine Children's Cancer & Blood Disorders, a facility of Carolinas Medical Center. I am also the lead advanced practice provider (APP) for CAR T-cell therapy.

I have a special interest in:

  • Pediatric cellular therapies
  • Stem cell transplants
  • Oncofertility (reproduction after a cancer diagnosis)
  • Supportive and integrative medicine

I understand the difficulty journey of transplantation and cellular therapy. These treatments require extended hospitalization and close monitoring. But I believe this provides an opportunity for continuity of care and the ability to address all aspects of a patient’s physical, mental and emotional health.

I received my bachelor’s degree at Bucknell University and my master’s degree at Wake Forest University.

I enjoy traveling and visiting national parks, and I stay active by running, hiking and practicing yoga. I’m also a registered yoga teacher.
