“I want to make a difference. I want to care for the tiniest patients, provide the best care, and use evidence-based practices to improve outcomes for neonates. My favorite part of being a neonatal nurse practitioner is the moment I’m able to watch a mother hold her baby for the first time after being in the NICU (neonatal intensive care unit).”
Clevenger is a board-certified neonatal nurse practitioner. She specializes in caring for sick and preterm infants. She has been a finalist for an Atrium Health Teal Acorn Award for multiple years.
Clevenger received her master’s degree in nursing at East Carolina University.
Outside of work, she loves spending time with her 2 daughters. When she’s not busy with their activities, she enjoys yoga, running and being outdoors.
