Ruggiero is an adult gerontology primary care nurse practitioner. She focuses on hematology-oncology (cancer and blood disorders) and palliative care (pain and symptom relief).
She values the opportunity to practice medicine in a specialty that offers a variety of treatment options and modalities for patients with cancer diagnoses.
Ruggiero received her master’s degree in nursing at Duke University.
She is married with 3 children. In her free time, she enjoys exploring the outdoors with her family and 2 collie dogs, traveling, cycling, trying new restaurants and listening to audiobooks.
