Biography
“To care for a child and their family as they grow is a treasured gift. There’s nothing better than seeing a child smile or hearing their laugh.”
Dr. Nuse specializes in providing care for children, from newborns to adolescents. She is the specialty medical director of general pediatrics for Atrium Health Levine Children’s. She is board certified in pediatrics.
Dr. Nuse decided to become a pediatrician at age 6, when she admired her childhood doctor so much that it revealed her life’s calling.
“Some of my strongest childhood memories are of my pediatrician,” Dr. Nuse says. “He always made me laugh and treated me as my own little person. Although I know there were painful things, like shots, I don’t remember those moments. I just remember feeling special and taken care of.”
Dr. Nuse earned her medical degree and completed her residency at West Virginia University.
She enjoys spending time at the beach with her dog, traveling, reading, watching movies, cheering on her alma mater’s sports teams and hanging out with her cousins.
