Mackensie De La Roca is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. She focuses on internal medicine, including insulin resistance, pre-diabetes and diabetes, cardiovascular health, high cholesterol and women’s health.
She chose to practice internal medicine for the opportunities it offers to combine clinical diagnostics on a wide range of complex and common conditions. She believes it’s important to provide a personalized and compassionate approach to medicine.
De La Roca received her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at the University of South Carolina.
She is married to a teacher who serves in the Army National Guard and they have 2 sons. Away from work, De La Roca enjoys hiking, swimming, gardening, running and reading.
