Biography
“I cherish being there for my patients, helping to ease their suffering and building meaningful bonds along the way. I measure my success by the comfort and the continuity of care I can bring to others.”
Dr. Manasa Velagapudi is board certified in infectious disease. Conditions she treats include bacterial, viral and fungal infections, human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and hepatitis C.

She has received a James Sullivan Teaching Award for excellence in resident education and a Dedicated Teacher Award, both from Creighton School of Medicine. She was recognized by the American College of Physicians, Nebraska Chapter, for her volunteerism and community service during the pandemic. Additionally, she has been inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society.
Her research focuses on HIV.
Dr. Velagapudi received her medical degree at Mamata Medical College in Khammam, India. She completed residency in internal medicine at Montefiore Medical Center and a fellowship in infectious diseases at Creighton University.
Away from work, she likes learning Indian classical music, watching movies and spending time with her wonderful family.
