Dr. Mandeep Kaur is board certified in general psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry. Conditions she treats include attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD), major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), generalized anxiety disorder, perinatal depression, oppositional defiant disorder, disruptive mood dysregulation disorder (DMDD), schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder.
The passion to help people with conditions that are not visible to the human eye is what drew her to her field.
Dr. Kaur is a distinguished fellow of both the American Psychiatric Association (APA) and the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP).
Her research interests include autism spectrum disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, psychopharmacology and psychopathology. Her work has been cited in multiple national and international journals.
Dr. Kaur received her medical degree at Maulana Azad Medical College in New Delhi, India, and completed residency in psychiatry at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. She then completed a fellowship in child & adolescent psychiatry at SUNY Downstate Medical Center.
Dr. Kaur, her husband and their 2 children love hiking and exploring natural sites. She enjoys playing badminton, squash and reading books on personal development as well as motivational literature.
