Biography

Marlena Matusewicz is a board-certified clinical neuropsychologist. She conducts comprehensive outpatient neuropsychological evaluations for adults with a wide variety of neurological conditions, including neurodegenerative disorders, such as Alzheimer's disease, vascular dementia and frontotemporal dementias, epilepsy and traumatic brain injuries.

As part of Atrium Health's Comprehensive Epilepsy Program as well as the Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) Program, Matusewicz focuses on presurgical evaluations and participates in interdisciplinary consultations. She is also the coordinator for the department’s inpatient consultation service, which focuses on determining the decision-making capacity of medically complex patients.

She received her doctorate at John F. Kennedy University. She also completed a predoctoral internship at the University of California, Davis and a fellowship at the University of Virginia.
