Mary Leesnitzer is a certified nurse midwife. She provides care to women throughout the lifespan. Whether it is a well-woman visit, birth control counseling, benign gynecological issues or the excitement of pregnancy and birth, she is trained to walk that path with her patients and give the best care possible.
She began her career as a registered nurse in the emergency department but transitioned to a role in labor and delivery. Since then, her heart has belonged to women's health care. Working as a labor and delivery nurse inspired her to pursue further education and become a midwife. She hopes to bring the magic of midwifery care to the hospital setting because everyone deserves the birth experience they desire.
Leesnitzer received her master’s degree in nursing at East Carolina University.
Away from work, she loves being outdoors with her husband and dog. They especially enjoy hiking, playing disc golf and camping. Leesnitzer is also an avid crafter and reader who loves fantasy and historical fiction books.
