Biography

“I love partnering with families to take care of their infants. Supporting them through one of the roughest times in their lives seems like a great reason to get up every morning.”

Dr. Lovegreen is board certified in pediatrics and neonatal-perinatal medicine. She specializes in caring for sick and preterm infants and has a clinical interest in neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) developmental follow-up. Dr. Lovegreen is the medical director for both the Neonatal Transport Team and the Advanced Practice Provider NICU Fellowship program.

She received her medical degree at Eastern Virginia Medical School and completed residency at Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters. She completed a fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh.

Outside of work, Dr. Lovegreen enjoys spending time with friends and family, including her pet hamster. She loves to travel, especially to countries she’s never visited and notes Malta as her favorite place. She loves to snorkel on reefs off the coast of the Caribbean islands. She enjoys wine and craft beer tasting and reading fiction, primarily post-apocalyptic stories and mysteries.
