Dr. Thomas specializes in family medicine and is board certified in the field. He has a special interest in wellness, chronic conditions and skin care. He was recognized by the National Committee for Quality Assurance for delivering high-quality diabetes care, as well as high-quality cardiovascular and stroke care. He is the site-based medical director for Atrium Health Primary Care Barnett Family Medicine Redstone.
He decided to specialize in family medicine because it gave him the opportunity to provide comprehensive care and form long-term relationships with patients.
Dr. Thomas earned his medical degree from the University of South Carolina and completed his residency at Atrium Health Cabarrus and Atrium Health Cabarrus Family Medicine.
When he’s not spending time with his wife and son, he enjoys playing tennis and basketball, golfing, running and hiking.
