Dr. Huang specializes in obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN). He has a particular interest in gynecologic surgery and robot-assisted surgery.
He is skilled in well-woman care, contraception counseling and management, routine and high-risk prenatal care, perimenopause, menopause and cervical cancer screenings. Additionally, he treats abnormal uterine bleeding, endometriosis, uterine fibroids, pelvic pain, dysmenorrhea, vaginitis and sexually transmitted infections.
He was drawn to obstetrics and gynecology early in his medical training. He feels it’s one of the few specialties that allows for medical and surgical treatment by the same provider, and its fast-paced nature ensures no 2 days are ever the same.
He received his medical degree at the University of South Carolina and completed a residency at the New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
He and his girlfriend enjoy spending their free time staying active with their golden retriever, Wally. They love to hike, lift weights and travel, both domestically and internationally. They also love trying new restaurants and cooking new recipes at home.
