“It is a privilege to work with infants and form relationships with their families during what can be very difficult times. I love taking care of infants because they are little fighters!”
Dr. Megan Stangeby is board certified in pediatrics. She focuses on neonatal-perinatal medicine (care of newborn babies).
She discovered the world of neonatology as a medical student and was immediately drawn to it.
Her research interests include growth and nutrition, particularly in infants with gastroschisis.
Dr. Stangeby received her undergraduate degree in chemistry with specialization in biochemistry at the University of Virginia and her degree in osteopathic medicine at Campbell University. She completed residency in pediatrics and a fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine at Emory University.
She enjoys spending her time away from work with her husband and son. They love to get outdoors, especially walking, biking and hiking. Dr. Stangeby is also an avid reader who has a flair for baking.
