Yanicko is a board-certified physician assistant who specializes in pediatric hematology-oncology (cancer and blood disorders). She is skilled in bone marrow transplants, virus-specific T-cell therapy and CAR-T therapy for relapsed leukemia.
She is the inpatient clinical director for Atrium Health Levine Children's Cancer & Blood Disorders, a facility of Carolinas Medical Center.
Yanicko feels it’s a privilege to offer many new and advanced therapies that enable patients and their families to have many more years of happy memories.
She received her physician assistant training at Wake Forest University.
Outside of work, she enjoys a fun and noisy homelife with her husband, 2 daughters, 2 cats and their rescue chocolate Lab mix, Hershey. They love playing outside and boating on Lake Norman. Yanicko loves to read mysteries and romance novels, watch the Game Show Network and eat way too much chocolate hazelnut spread.
