Blakeney is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner at Atrium Health Behavioral Health, a facility of Carolinas Medical Center. She specializes in anxiety, ADHD, psychosis and mood disorders. She is a psychiatric consult liaison and an outpatient medication management provider.
She received her master’s degree from the University of South Carolina and additional certification as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner at Eastern Kentucky University.
As a family nurse practitioner, Blakeney realized how much mental and physical health overlap, so she returned to school to learn more about the mental health side of nursing and medicine. She found her calling as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her wonderful husband and twin girls, whom she calls her “M&M's.” They love being active outside and also love vacationing and exploring new places.
