Flood is a board-certified nurse practitioner who specializes in obesity and bariatric surgery.
She worked in several other medical specialties, but particularly enjoys working with bariatric patients, helping them make the life-changing decision to have surgery and improve their overall quality of life.
Flood was inspired by her grandmother, who was a nurse, and by her mother, who worked in administrative roles in medicine. She had mentors who were doctors and PAs and she has known since middle school that she wanted a career in medicine.
She received her master's degree in nursing at the University of Central Florida.
Flood loves spending time with her husband and their wonderful English Foxhound. They enjoy exercising, exploring the mountains, watching movies, relaxing on their back patio, game nights with friends and reading historical fiction. They also love to travel, particularly to their favorite places in the U.K. and Germany.
