Even on your worst days, children can magically put a smile on your face. I enjoy watching children grow and develop over the years. It’s awesome to feel like an extended family member for my patients, their siblings, parents and grandparents.

I am a pediatrician who specializes in helping children grow and develop.

I became interested in medicine at a young age. That interest was solidified when my mother developed breast cancer when I was in high school. I knew I wanted to help patients maintain their health and to be there every step of the way at the most vulnerable times. I chose pediatrics because working with children brings me joy, allows me to be a sounding board for parents and aligns with my goal of helping future generations and the greater community.

My special interests include:

• Breastfeeding
• Teaching prenatal classes

I received my medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina and completed my residency at Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters.

I have conducted research to better understand African American women’s perception of breastfeeding and serve as a member of the human papillomavirus collective at Atrium Health.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, friends and bonus children. I also enjoy making new recipes for my family, curling up under a cozy blanket and watching my favorite TV shows.
