Meng Li, MD

I chose a career in medicine because I feel called to care for children and their families, and I truly want to help others. Being part of a child’s growth is such a privilege. My goal is to be a trusted partner for families, someone who supports their child’s growth and celebrates each milestone along the way.

I believe the best care starts with listening. I take time to understand your concerns and your family’s needs. I practice evidence-based medicine and follow trusted guidelines to help keep children safe and healthy, including strongly recommending routine vaccinations. Together, we make informed decisions that balance the best medical evidence with what matters most to your family. I also tailor care plans to fit each child and family, because no two journeys are the same.

As a board-certified pediatrician, I provide a wide range of care for children, including:

• Primary care
• Preventive care
• Sick visits for acute illnesses
• Eczema management
• ADHD, depression and anxiety care

My path to becoming a pediatrician has been a journey of growth and learning. I grew up in China and completed my medical education at Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine before I came to the U.S. I then completed residency at the University of Florida Jacksonville.

I speak both English and Mandarin Chinese, and I enjoy caring for families from diverse communities. My experiences have helped me see health care through different perspectives and better connect with families from many backgrounds.

I currently work as an academic pediatrician and serve as the course director of the ambulatory pediatrics acting intern rotation at Wake Forest University School of Medicine – Charlotte. I have been honored with the university’s preceptor recognition award.

My husband and I have a daughter and two cats. Outside of work, we enjoy traveling and exploring parks and playgrounds, reading together and going on trips as a family.
