I’m a board-certified adult-gerontology primary care nurse practitioner. I specialize in dementia, aging in place and hospice and palliative (end of life) care.
My work in critical care motivated me to specialize in working with elderly patients, with a focus on preventing or shortening hospitalizations. My research interests include nursing shortages and recruitment issues.
I received my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at East Carolina University.
I’m married with a son. Outside of work, I enjoy exercising, traveling and spending time with the two great Danes I refer to as my babies.
