Dr. Beckman is board certified in general surgery and specializes in cancer and other diseases of the abdomen that affect the liver, pancreas, bile ducts, spleen, stomach and intestines.
He provides medical and surgical care to people with complex diseases. He is passionate about providing state-of-the-art care that uses minimally invasive and robotic technology.
Dr. Beckman is the director of surgical education in the Department of Surgery at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center - Cabarrus and an assistant professor at Carolinas Medical Center - Main and Cabarrus.
He received his medical degree from the State University of New York and completed a residency at Washington University. He followed that with a fellowship at Johns Hopkins University.
Dr. Beckman and his wife, also an Atrium Health doctor, have 2 children. They enjoy spending time outdoors in the Carolina weather, which is milder than the northern climate where they previously lived.
