Biography
“Being part of the medical profession has been, and always will be, a humbling experience. Our promise is to use the best of our abilities when treating every patient. Our patients’ generosity in sharing their stories reminds us daily to appreciate the important aspects of life and to cherish the people we hold most dear.”
Dr. Friedland is board certified in internal medicine. He treats a variety of conditions, often involving cardiac, pulmonary, endocrine and psychiatric issues. He has consulted for many years with rehabilitation doctors and neurosurgeons to provide care for patients with traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries.
He has been named a Top Doctor by Charlotte magazine for multiple years and a Best Doctor by Business North Carolina magazine. He has also been recognized with an Atrium Health Community Involvement Award.
Dr. Friedland feels the most enjoyable aspects of internal medicine are the long-term relationships he develops with patients and the wide breadth of medical conditions he deals with daily.
He received his medical degree at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, formerly known as Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He completed a residency at Cornell University.
