“Being a physician allows me the privilege to serve individuals and the community while continuously learning and practicing multiple areas of science. I particularly find neuroscience to be most interesting given the breadth of knowledge still being explored and discovered.”
Dr. Wenning is board certified in child and adolescent psychiatry and specializes in pediatric psychiatric conditions and behavioral health at Atrium Health Behavioral Health Psychiatric & Counseling Davidson. He also provides consultation to pediatric primary care practices as part of the Behavioral Health Integration service. Dr. Wenning focuses on attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), anxiety and mood disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and symptoms related to autism spectrum disorders.
Dr. Wenning received his medical degree, residency and fellowship at the University of South Florida.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, working on home improvement projects, participating in outdoor activities and attempting to learn guitar.
