Monica M. Washington, MD

Dr. Washington is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN). She is skilled in vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC), sexually transmitted disease (STD) treatments, birth control counseling, minimally invasive and laparoscopic surgeries, vaginitis, management of abnormal pap smears, treatment of abnormal uterine bleeding and preventative health maintenance.

She feels OB/GYN is a specialty that allows her to share in many special moments, and it gives her the ability to help support, navigate and advocate for women through some of the most difficult times in their lives. She believes in a shared decision making approach.

Dr. Washington received a postbaccalaureate premedical program certificate at Duquesne University and her medical degree at Virginia Commonwealth University. She completed a residency at Saint Peter's University Hospital.

She is a fellow of The American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, 2 sons and their dog. She loves to exercise, spend time with family and friends, cook and travel. Dr. Washington is a sports fan and enjoys cheering for teams from her hometown of Pittsburgh and her alma mater, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
