Biography

“I do my job because I have a deep respect for the children and families who are undergoing transplantation. It’s incredible medicine has come so far, but people often don't realize how difficult these advanced and innovative treatments can be for the patients. I feel lucky to be there for these patients and their families, providing both emotional support and medical care during hard times.”

Scott is a board-certified physician assistant. She has clinical interests in pediatric bone marrow transplants and cellular therapies. She loves the innovation, the breadth of medical knowledge needed, and the incredible bravery and perseverance of patients undergoing transplants.

When she was younger, Scott knew a 5-year-old who was diagnosed with a brain tumor. She watched her and her family's journey through chemo and surgeries and knew this was the work she wanted to do. Every experience in which she has worked with pediatric patients going through difficult medical treatments solidified her desire to pursue a career caring for this population.

Scott received a master’s degree in public health at Florida International University and a master’s degree in medical sciences at Wake Forest University.

She loves spending her free time reading fiction, especially stories of perseverance and overcoming obstacles. She also enjoys drawing objects in nature with pencil or charcoal and exploring local art museums and street art.
