Nakia Smith, MD

Dr. Nakia Smith is board certified in neurology and clinical neurology. She treats all neurologic conditions and focuses on epilepsy, primarily for people who are hospitalized.

Her personal experience with seizure disorders motivated her to study neurology and its various subspecialties.

Dr. Smith received her bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology at the University of Florida and her medical degree at Howard University. She completed residency in neurology at the Medical University of South Carolina and a fellowship in clinical neurophysiology at the University of Florida.

She enjoys keeping active physically and spending leisure time with her husband and son.

Dr. Smith is a fan of Japanese anime and manga graphic novels, and she reads many at a given time.
