Nakisha Childers is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. She specializes in family medicine. Her clinical interests include pediatrics, work and sports injuries, pain management, migraines, back, hip, spine and knee pain, acute illnesses, chronic disease management and preventive disease management.
Childers has received multiple Atrium Health awards, including a DAISY award for extraordinary nurses and a Good Catch award, given to an employee who intercepts a potential safety event before a patient is harmed.
Throughout her career, she has worked in different intensive care units, providing care for diverse patient populations.
Childers received her master’s degree in nursing at Purdue University.
In her spare time, she enjoys wakeboarding, snowboarding and traveling.
