Biography
“I love being able to have an ongoing relationship with families as their children grow and develop. I also appreciate the rich diversity of our patients and believe my fluency in Spanish gives me a unique opportunity to connect with immigrant families.”
Dr. Tarte is board certified in pediatrics. She specializes in caring for children from infancy through adolescence.
She practices at Atrium Health Levine Children’s Davidson Pediatrics. In addition to being a fellow with the American Academy of Pediatrics, she is medical director for Levine Children's Hospital at Home.
Dr. Tarte is an active community volunteer, holding a leadership role at her church, sitting on the board of directors of Girl Scouts Hornets’ Nest Council and volunteering as a physician at Ada Jenkins Center. She has also made several medical mission trips to Central America.
She has been recognized by Business Today with a Lifetime Achievement Award.
She received her medical degree from The University of Texas and completed her residency in pediatrics at Children's National Hospital Medical Center.
Dr. Tarte and her husband are the proud parents of 3 children, with their daughter following in her footsteps as a pediatric emergency medicine physician. She is an avid reader and loves spending time outdoors, boating, gardening and playing with her Jack Russell terrier.
